About Hidden Oaks

This collection of 206 home sites premiered in 1978 as the Blackhawk's first of six gated communities, and was one of the most highly anticipated collection of homes established in Northern California. Guarded gates were a fairly new concept in the area, and builder's were hand selected to bring their most innovative designs to set the pace for Blackhawk. Most lots are at least ½ acre with many homes nestled to permanent open space belonging to either the Blackhawk community or Mt. Diablo.

Today, Hidden Oaks has evolved into a wonderful family-oriented community with emphasis on family activities. Easter egg hunts, Halloween parades and block parties are common in this community.

Today, many feel this community is the most private and serene of all the Blackhawk communities because of the very manicured landscaping and towering trees throughout the neighbors. When you enter through the gates, an open field of oak trees will soon greet you with a sign "Slow, children and squirrels at play" which set's the tone of this wonderful community.
